Published estimates from Calgary dental clinics commonly place composite bonding at roughly $300–$800 per tooth. This is general Calgary pricing context, not Uxbridge Dental Care’s fee. It is not a quote or a guaranteed price. Uxbridge Dental Care does not publish a fixed dental-bonding fee. At Uxbridge, the appropriate treatment and estimate follow an assessment, because the treatment being considered and the condition being treated can differ.

The Alberta Dental Association’s 2026 suggested dental fee guide is a reference, and individual dentists set their own fees. It does not function as a universal price list for cosmetic dental bonding. For how this treatment is considered after an assessment, see dental bonding at Uxbridge Dental Care.

Why Can the Cost of Dental Bonding Vary?

A published range is only context. An estimate follows the treatment plan, and that plan can change with the tooth and with the reason bonding is being considered. The bonding page describes the factors a dentist looks at before recommending it. Those same factors can change the plan, and therefore the estimate:

  • The size and location of a chip, gap, area of wear, or other concern
  • The condition of the tooth
  • Existing dental work
  • Whether other dental care may be appropriate first
  • Whether the purpose is cosmetic, restorative, or a mixture of both
  • Individual treatment planning

These are reasons the recommendation can differ from one person to another. They are not a billing formula. The amount of resin, the amount of preparation, or the number of teeth does not by itself set a published fee. Uxbridge does not publish a per-tooth bonding rate.

Does Dental Insurance Cover Dental Bonding?

Uxbridge Dental Care direct bills most private dental plans. Coverage still depends on the patient’s plan and on the treatment being provided. Bonding can be cosmetic, restorative, or a mixture of purposes, so the name of the treatment does not tell an insurer what will be paid.

Purely cosmetic treatment is not routinely covered. Patients remain responsible for amounts their plan does not cover. Uxbridge cannot guarantee coverage or a reimbursement percentage. Frequency limits, annual maximums, waiting periods, and procedure codes can all affect what is paid.

If you have questions about a planned treatment, talk with our team and with your insurer before care proceeds. How billing works at the clinic is explained on the dental insurance page.

Does CDCP Cover Dental Bonding?

The word “bonding” does not determine coverage under the Canadian Dental Care Plan. CDCP coverage depends on the actual service being provided, not simply on whether composite resin is used.

The Government of Canada’s Dental Benefits Guide, effective April 1, 2026, covers eligible restorative services, including permanent and temporary fillings. Cosmetic treatment is excluded. Composite or ceramic veneers are specifically excluded, as are restorations for incisal wear involving enamel and dentin. Coverage is determined according to the actual eligible service and the plan rules that apply. Even a covered service may not be paid in full.

Composite resin used for an eligible restorative service may fall under covered restorative treatment. Cosmetic bonding and composite veneers should not be represented as covered CDCP services.

Uxbridge accepts CDCP and direct bills Sun Life for eligible services. Where a treatment is being planned, the clinic can review the coverage information available and submit an estimate or preauthorization. An estimate or preauthorization does not guarantee final payment. How the plan works at the clinic is explained on the Canadian Dental Care Plan page.

What About the Cost of Bonding vs. Veneers?

Dental bonding and porcelain veneers are different treatment approaches. Uxbridge does not publish a fixed fee for either treatment on these pages. Price alone should not determine which option is appropriate.

Suitability depends on an assessment and on the goals of treatment. The bonding and veneers pages are the place to read how each option is considered. This article does not compare how the two treatments are planned.

How Do I Get an Accurate Dental Bonding Estimate?

An assessment lets the dentist evaluate the tooth or teeth involved, existing dental work, oral health, the concern being addressed, treatment goals, and the options that may be appropriate. The clinic can then discuss the recommended treatment and the associated cost.

If you have private dental insurance or CDCP, bring or provide the relevant plan information so the team can review what is known. The insurer or CDCP administrator still makes the coverage decision.
