At our clinic
A practical overview of what CDCP patients can expect at Uxbridge — not a substitute for official Government of Canada program details.
Make sure your CDCP coverage is active before booking planned treatment. Check your status through official Government of Canada or Sun Life member resources.
New and existing patients can request an appointment online or call the clinic. Let us know you have CDCP when you book.
Have your CDCP/member information available. Our team can confirm what details are needed when you book.
Your dentist assesses your oral health and discusses recommended care in plain language.
For planned treatment, we can help review available CDCP information and submit estimates or preauthorization where applicable. This does not guarantee final payment amounts.
Treatment proceeds after you understand the recommended care and any expected patient portion.
We submit eligible claims directly to Sun Life. You remain responsible for any applicable amount not paid by CDCP.
Coverage categories
CDCP may help pay for eligible dental services in several categories. Coverage depends on the service, your plan, applicable limits, and whether preauthorization is required.
Eligible dental examinations and diagnostic services may be covered, subject to CDCP rules.
Eligible preventive services such as cleaning-related care may be covered where applicable.
Eligible fillings and other restorative services may be covered under plan criteria.
Eligible root canal treatment may be covered where plan criteria are met.
Eligible extractions and other covered oral-surgery services may apply.
Eligible denture and prosthodontic services may be covered under current program rules.
Additional services may be eligible depending on CDCP rules, limitations, and preauthorization requirements.
For detailed and current benefit information, see the official CDCP Dental Benefits Guide on Canada.ca.
Costs & transparency
Possibly. CDCP does not necessarily mean that your entire dental bill will be covered.
Depending on current CDCP rules and your coverage level, you may be responsible for part of the CDCP-established fee.
If the clinic fee differs from the amount recognized by CDCP, a patient balance may remain, subject to clinic policy and applicable rules.
Some care may not be eligible, or coverage may be limited by frequency, criteria, or other plan rules.
Some services require approval before coverage can be confirmed. Approval does not necessarily mean every dollar of the provider fee will be paid.
Before planned treatment, our team can help you review available coverage information and any expected patient portion so you can make an informed decision.
Before treatment
Some services may require preauthorization. Coverage criteria and limits may apply. Estimates or preauthorization can help clarify expected coverage before planned treatment. Approval does not necessarily mean every dollar of the provider fee will be paid, and final coverage depends on CDCP rules in effect when care is processed.

Yes. Uxbridge direct bills Sun Life for eligible CDCP services. You remain responsible for any applicable amount not paid by CDCP.
Not necessarily. CDCP does not always mean your entire dental bill will be covered. Co-payments, fee differences, plan limits, and non-covered services can leave a patient portion.
A balance may remain because of your CDCP co-payment level, differences between clinic fees and CDCP-recognized amounts, services or portions that are not covered, or plan requirements such as preauthorization.
CDCP may help pay for eligible services across categories such as exams, preventive care, restorative care, endodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics. Coverage depends on current program rules and your individual plan. See official Canada.ca resources for detailed benefit information.
Yes. Some services may require preauthorization before coverage can be confirmed. Estimates or preauthorization can help clarify expected coverage before planned treatment, but approval does not guarantee every dollar of the provider fee will be paid.
Have your CDCP/member information available, along with any registration details the clinic asks for when you book. Tell our team you have CDCP so we can help with billing questions.
Use official Government of Canada or Sun Life CDCP member resources to confirm eligibility, renewal, and coverage status. Uxbridge does not determine CDCP eligibility.
We can help review available coverage information and submit estimates or preauthorization where appropriate. Final coverage depends on CDCP rules in effect when care is processed, so an estimate is not a guarantee of final payment.
